Blueprint's 2009 Foals
2009 foaling season is now over and it was quite a rollar coaster ride.  It started pretty abruptly the end of April when 2 maiden mares delivered their full term foals unattended and both lovely fillies were found dead.   This was followed closely by the loss of the 3rd born foal, another filly, when I fell asleep while on "mare stare".  Some quick changes were made, including a new camera set-up and an equipage system were put into place.   After that, each delivery was attended and 7 additional live foals now call Blueprint Miniature Horse Farm home.   Each of the live foals was sired by Little Kings Junior Justice, and each one was better than the last.   Photos are still being taken and this page will be updated regularly to include photos as these little ones grow and mature.  They sure change and grow quickly.   Each of these foals will be looking for a new home.  Each has been handled daily and will soon be taught to lead, stand, and tie. They are super friendly and very people oriented.  They have superior bloodlines and would be an asset to any breeding program.   If you have any questions or would like additional photos or info about any of the 2009 foals, please email right away.

Born May 3, 2009.  Silver Roan Buckskin Colt. AMHA/AMHR pending. Pedro is Stormy's 7th foal.  She is such a good mama and she has done a good job raising Pedro.  He is already eating his grain and pellets and spending a significant amount of time away from mama, playing with the other colts. He will be ready to wean soon.  Pedro is very laid back and easy going.  He would be a wonderful youth or amateur project.  He will be tall enough to drive eventually and he comes from a long line of driving horses.  Priced to sell at just $650.

What a surprise when this little lady entered the world.  I never expected a palomino out of this black mare.  But, here she is!  She is a lovely lady and very smart.  She is broke to halter and will follow you anywhere.  She just won her class at the local county fair.  She stood like a champ for her first full body-clip and actually seemed to enjoy it.  She will make someone a delightful show filly.  Check out her pedigree - she has excellent breeding behind her with champions top and bottom.   Temporarily Unavailable. Owen was named after actor, Owen Wilson, because of his blond curly hair.  He is the first palomino colt for Blueprint Miniatures and he is the first foal for 3 year old Lucy.  She is a good mom and Owen has such a sweet personality that he has quickly become a favorite of those who visit the farm.  Owen will probably mature around 33" making him just the right size for a driving/performance gelding.  No longer available. 
This one came out with an attitude and as you can see from the photos, he is very full of himself.  Groucho is a darling, very correct and tiny buckskin colt.  He goes back to Buckeroo both top and bottom and it shows!  He has tiny white coronets on both hind feet. He is definitely show quality and should only get better as he matures.    $1000.
Full brother to Blueprints Early Buck Jr. and Blueprints Buck Beloved Jr, Tater was one of the most anticipated foals of 2009.  And he did not disappoint!  Tater is spectacular!  He has a gorgeous chizeled head and long upright neck.  He is correct in every way.  And his buckskin color is just icing on the cake.  He will mature around 33", the perfect size to make him a performance competitor too.

Can you say tiny?  Pearl is just that!   Just 16" at birth Pearl looked more like a stuffed animal than a real live horse.  She is full of herself, too!  She thinks she is 16 hands tall.  Very friendly and curious.  Will leave her mama's side and come right up to you for a scratch behind her ear.   Pearl is smokey black which means that someday she could produce buckskins and palominos.  Check out her pedigree.  It goes on and on and on.  Pearl will never be very big, probably finishing out around 29".      Sale Pending.
Twiggy is a full sister to Blueprints Teenie Jeannie Jr (aka Princess) and at birth looked identical.  She was immediately nick-named Twiggy because she was so petite and refined.  If I was going to keep a filly this year, Twiggy would be the one.  She is going to mature around 32" and, look at her pedigree.  It's more than impressive.  This little lady surely could hold her own in the showring for a few years and then become invaluable as part of your breeding program.   $1800

I saw his mama at a sale this past Spring and knew I had to have her.  She had this adorable solid black colt on her side.  He is sired by Misty Rose Rebels Last Stand, a striking dark silver dapple stallion who has done quite well in the show ring, both in halter and as a performance horse.   The colt, nick named Kobe, is very upheaded and correct.  He has quite a neck on him for a youngster.  He already knows how to flirt with the girls.  He very well could follow in his daddy's hoof steps in the showring.  He goes back to L&D Scout on his dam's side. Kobe could be your next stallion prospect, or he would make a top notch gelding.   $650.
